My sister and my parents have lived in Portland for a long time, but I'm fairly new here.  

Libraries are so amazing - because you can borrow something and return it!  Good for storage space, for the environment, for "try before you buy", for being part of a community... so many things. 

Appliances are also so fun - it's great to have a chocolate fountain for a party, or a waffle iron, or a massage machine.  But who has space to keep them all?  And how often do you get something and use it for a few months then almost never again?  

Clearly there should be a library for appliances.  Right?  Obviously.  Let's do it.  :D
